Core A–G Subjects at Paramount High School
Paramount High School offers a strong portfolio of core subjects that meet the A–G requirements for admission to the University of California (UC) and California State University (CSU) systems. These courses are designed to ensure that every student graduates ready to thrive in college or university and in their chosen career.
What are the A–G requirements?
The A–G subject requirements are a set of high school courses that students must complete with a grade of C or better to be eligible for UC or CSU admission:
- A = History / Social Science
- B = English
- C = Mathematics
- D = Laboratory Science
- E = Language Other Than English
- F = Visual & Performing Arts
- G = College-Preparatory Electives
