Career Pathways at Paramount High School
The Career Pathway program at Paramount High School is designed to anchor student learning in authentic, real-world competencies. Each pathway follows a strategic course sequence, enriched with benchmark and capstone experiences that help students apply skills in meaningful ways. At the same time, pathways fully complement a student’s effort to pursue enrollment in any college or university.
Pathways were selected to reflect industries and opportunities within and around the City of Paramount—ensuring our graduates are well-prepared to thrive in the local economy and beyond.
Dual Enrollment
Paramount High School, through the Paramount Unified School District, partners with Compton College for dual enrollment, specifically offering an Administration of Justice Early College Program where students can earn an associate's degree for Transfer (AS-T) and a high school diploma simultaneously. This program, which began in 2020, allows high school students to take college courses for free to gain skills and potentially reduce the overall cost and time to complete a degree. Students in the program receive personalized support to succeed in college-level coursework.

College-Ready Learning
Paramount High School offers a strong portfolio of core subjects that meet the A–G requirements for admission to the University of California (UC) and California State University (CSU) systems. These courses are designed to ensure that every student graduates ready to thrive in college or university and in their chosen career.
