What it Means to be an AP Student

Paramount High School offers a wide range of Advanced Placement (AP) courses to challenge students academically. Through the AP program, students experience the rigors of college-level studies while maintaining the core support structure of the high school environment. By participating in AP, students elevate their academic transcripts, develop core competencies, and earn transferable college credits. 

When students take AP courses and exams, they demonstrate to university admission officers that they have proactively sought out a learning experience that prepares them for long-term academic success. Advanced Placement courses are completely open to all students who are willing to accept the challenge of a rigorous curriculum and invest dedicated study time beyond the classroom.
